The Report for Friday, 8 August is essentially the same as for 6 August, except that Veign and Rika are listed as WF, "Work Finished." Segnale G. (with the n crossed out) is listed as W, "Worked."
The Report for Monday, 11 August is for a Location, not a stage, and lists "EXT. ROCCA'S CAFFE' " It also lists Segale (apparently by that date they got her name figured out) as WF, Work Finished.
So, the shots from the caffč to the street are on via Rotonda, but those from the street view to the caffč are studio.
And Francesca was played by Gianna Segale.

I have no Reports listing an airport. It must have been Ciampino, but we don't really know.
Fiumicino was opened in 1960. There may have been some military or other airport around in 1952.

As of July 2010, I seem to be in a cars, trucks and planes mode. Here is some fascinating information about the plane shown above. It's a prototype, the Breda-Zappata BZ308. Only one of its kind ever built, and a long sad tale goes with it. I just found out about it at the Airliners.net forum. You can read a history at Wikipedia.
The most interesting point for our purposes is that the plane was apparently housed at the Malpensa Airport in Milan! So are these scenes at Malpensa? I've been searching for pictures, without being able to match these.
However, the skyline shown here does bear a faint resemblance to that shown in some old pictures of the plane, supposedly at Malpensa. Hmmm. More research necessary.
