Audra’s Bottle

On the 15th of May, 2003, Loie sent Bucky an email. It was a thread comprising several messages back and forth she had been saving for a while. In it, she told Bucky it "Seems like this ought to preserved for historical purposes!" Bucky has rearranged the originally top-quoted thread so that the messages now read in chronological order from earliest to latest, making it easier to read. Pictures of this occasion exist in print form. Perhaps we can post them here sometime.
As far as is known, Audra still has the Bottle.

George -- are you planning to induct Audra on account of her new position?

If you do plan to induct Audra, I have a special request. I want to return something to her in a publicly embarrassing (but friendly) way -- this would be the perfect venue. The "something" is a bottle of Yago Sangria that has gone back and forth between us for well over a decade, and in some rather unusual ways -- as a gift at Best Books/ALA and presented by John Mason of Scholastic Books, buried in a birthday cake, a prize for winning a fake "Save the Animals" raffle, and other inventive means. The return of the bottle must be done publicly, with the recipient unsuspecting, and without the "giver's" hands on it during the exchange -- that's the part where you'd come into it. This obviously requires top secrecy until the exchange is accomplished. For more information, do a Google search on the terms Audra Archfiend.

You're a sick person...You want me to touch a bottle of Yago sangria?? O'kay I'll do it. Remind Darrell he has to participate. If you have any other good dirt on Audra, let me know.

I could arrange for the bottle to be wrapped. But it IS vintage -- got to be at least 10 - 15 years old. Probably has increased in value -- maybe up to $2.99 by now -- what do you think?

I think it should be delivered to the E.P.A. or the C.D.C.
